Germany: inflation rate at +2.5% in May 2021

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUN 15 - The inflation rate in Germany, measured as year-on-year change in the consumer price index, stood at +2.5% in May 2021, the German Federal Statistical Office Destatis said today. "The inflation rate rose for the fifth month in a row" and a similar level "was last recorded in September 2011, that is almost ten years ago," Destatis noted. Destatis reported also that consumer prices were up 0.5% compared with April 2021. (ANSA).
