Coronavirus: Slovenia, Interior Minister resigns

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUNE 30 - Interior Minister Ales Hojs resigned today in Slovenia as part of an investigation and the growing controversy over the purchase of a lot of respirators during the worst phase of the coronavirus crisis.Local media reported that Hojs broke the news at a press conference by announcing that he had yielded his office back to Prime Minister Janez Jansa, who accepted his resignation. A senior police officer also resigned along with the Interior Minister. (ANSA)
