(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 06 OTT - Italian President Sergio Mattarella expressed confidence in Lithuania's upcoming EU presidency during a meeting with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda at the Quirinale. "The depth of our historical and current ties facilitates cooperation and is reflected in the quality of our relationships. At this time—in a complex international situation, to put it mildly—our countries' contributions are critical," the Italian President added, emphasising "our wisdom, clarity, and stances that prioritise nothing but security and peace."
