Poland conducts defensive exercises in light of Russia's actions

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 17 SET - Poland has temporarily closed its airports in Lublin and Rzeszów for "military aviation operations," according to the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency. The Armed Forces Operational Command stated that the operations were "related to Russian attacks using unmanned jet aircraft on western Ukrainian territory." "Ground-based air defence and radar reconnaissance systems are operationally ready. These actions are preventive in nature, with the goal of ensuring the safety and security of airspace in areas adjacent to threatened regions." (ANSA).
