(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 16 SET - Wizz Air and Trieste Airport - Friuli-Venezia Giulia have announced a new Wizz Air route connecting Trieste and Pristina, Kosovo. The new route, which is already available for purchase on the Wizz Air website and the WIZZ app, will go live on December 19. According to Trieste Airport, the service will run twice weekly during the peak winter season (Tuesdays and Saturdays) and three times weekly during the summer season (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays). This new link will connect Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Kosovo, providing a new travel option between Northeast Italy and the Balkans, which the airline already serves via its route to Tirana, Albania. Since starting operations in Trieste in 2023, Wizz Air has transported over 200,000 passengers to and from the airport. (ANSA).
