(ANSA) - VILNIUS, JUL 25 - The Latvian Prosecutor General's Office has launched an investigation to determine whether AirBaltic's financial management complies with legal requirements. According to the announcement, the investigation was launched at the request of Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs to assess the company's management and shed light on the possible causes of the airline's crisis. Another investigation into AirBaltic's financial management had already been launched at the end of 2024, but no irregularities were found. AirBaltic is facing a particularly critical situation after two consecutive years of operating at a loss and the difficulty of finding investors willing to take over the company. (ANSA).
