
(ANSA) - PRISTINA, 27 GIU - Kosovo's Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced the final results of the snap parliamentary elections held on June 7. CEC Chairman Kreshnik Radoniqi said that, following the decision, candidates have the right to file appeals against the proclamation of the results within 48 hours. Talks among the parties will now begin on the formation of a government, the election of the speaker of Parliament, and the election of the president of the Republic. Radoniqi said that Albin Kurti's Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV), with 47.13% of the vote, won 53 seats; the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), with 19.44%, won 22 seats; the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), with 16.69%, won 18 seats; and the Alliance, with 6.74%, won 7 seats. Srpska Lista (SL), the largest Serb party in Kosovo, received 5.40% of the vote and won 9 seats, while Nenad Rašić's Party for Freedom and Justice, with 0.67%, won 1 seat in the 120-seat Assembly. Another 10 reserved seats went to parties representing other non-Serb ethnic minorities. Parties competing for seats allocated to Serbs and other minorities are not subject to the 5% threshold applied to Albanian parties. (ANSA).
