Minister Poland, approval of the referendum on abortion

(ANSA) - KARPACZ, 04 SET - "I am in favor of promoting the referendum on the issue of abortion to ask the people how to resolve the issue, given that as parties, at a parliamentary level, we have not been able to agree for 30 years". Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said this during an interview at the 33rd Karpacz Economic Forum. Kosiniak-Kamysz, awarded at the Forum yesterday evening as the man of the year 2024, is the leader of the agrarian-oriented Polish People's Party (PSL), who until now had proposed to the coalition government of which he is part "a return to old law" of 1993, which provided for a very limited right to abortion even if not like the current one.
