KEP Project FIT4SMEs: Training Session for Business Support Organisations Completed in Tirana

Representatives of 27 Business Support Organizations (BSOs) from Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro participated in the training session held in Tirana on 15 - 16 March within the framework of the project Financial Facilities for SMEs: Training and Capacity Building for Business Support Organisations in non-EU Member States of the Central European Initiative - FIT4SMEs II.
  The event was opened by H.E. Ambassador Massimo Gaiani, by representatives of the Albanian Ministry of Economy Trade and Energy of Albania, the Ministry for Innovation and Information and Communication Technology and of the Central European Initiative and Informest.
  Participants had the opportunity to gain know-how about various financial opportunities offered by International Financial Institutions such as the European Investment Bank (EIB), the World Bank (WB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) as well as to interact with commercial banks managing the funds allocated by the three international institutions.  
  The assignment’s main goal is to strengthen the capacities of BSOs in CEI non-EU recipient countries: Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia and Ukraine.  It is co-financed by the Italian Government’s contribution to the CEI Know-how Exchange Programme (KEP),  through the CEI Fund at the EBRD and by the Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia (Italy). The project is implemented by Informest in cooperation with the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (I.C.E.) and its total cost amounts to 81,160 EUR. The CEI’s envisaged co-financing equals to 40,000 EUR.
