On 20 - 22 May, high ranking academics, experienced foreign service officers and young diplomats gathered on the occasion of the 13th CEI Dubrovnik Diplomatic Forum.
Organised by the Croatian Diplomatic Academy in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Zagreb and the CEI, the forum was opened by CEI Secretary General, Amb. Gerhard Pfanzelter who introduced the main theme of the event on “Strategic Public Diplomacy”. In his introductory speech Pfanzelter also highlighted the CEI activities in this field and explained the importance of public diplomacy in the CEI Region. Participants analysed the strategic concepts and ongoing practice of public diplomacy both from a theoretical to a practical point of view. This CEI feature event is an instrument for developing better understanding through an exchange of views on various aspects of diplomacy and diplomatic training.
