(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUN 1 - The sixth edition of the Festival degli Angeli, organised by the Ermada Flavio Vidonis Group, has officially begun in Ljubljana. The festival also marked the debut of the new edition of the International Rilke Prize for Poetry. Last year's competition drew over 500 participants from various regions and cultural backgrounds. The International Rilke Prize, founded in 2021 to honour Rainer Maria Rilke and the poet's connection to the Duino area, has quickly grown to become one of the most popular poetry competitions in Friuli Venezia Giulia and the border region. The Prize, established by the Ermada Flavio Vidonis Group and the Poiein Aps Association with the support of the Vita Activa Nuova publishing house and the collaboration of the Alfonso Gatto Foundation of Salerno, recognises poetic works from a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds, promoting cultural dialogue, poetic translation, and the dissemination of contemporary poetry.
