The Committee of National Coordinators (CNC) met - for the fith time this year - on 12 October at the CEI Headquarters in Trieste. The Coordinators took stock of the numerous events and activities organised by the CEI Secretariat and the Ukrainian Presidency during the last months, in fields such as culture, transport, SMEs and science and technology. Moreover, the Ukrainian Presidency informed the CNC on the activities planned until the end of the year, in particular on the CEI Business Forum and the CEI Summit to be held in Kyiv on 6 and 7 December 2012, respectively.
Participants also received the results of the Call for Proposals 2012 for financing Cooperation Activities from the CEI Cooperation Fund. Out of 204 applications received, 86 have been assessed as eligible (the requested CEI contribution amounts to almost 1.4 million EUR) and will be submitted to the Evaluation Committees for further evaluation.
The Agenda was complemented with presentations by the staff of the Secretariat on the main features of the various CEI funds and instruments such as Technical Cooperation projects, projects in the framework of the Know-how Exchange Programme, EU-funded projects, Cooperation Activities and Joint Programmes in the framework of the University Network.
