The final conference of the KEP AUSTRIA Project “Istria Getting Prepared for Structural Funds”, co-financed by the CEI with funds from the Austrian Development Agency, was held on 21 February 2011 at Villa Polesini in Porec (Croatia). The project involved a know-how transfer from the Veneto Region (Italy) to the Istria Region (Croatia) in the field of EU programmes, structural funds and project management cycle.
36 participants from various public and private institutions from the Istria Region went thorough a 5-month training programme. A field visit to Italy in order to visit the works and sites created with the EU funds was also organised. During the conference, participants were awarded with diplomas by Mr Roberto Ciambetti, Councillor of Veneto Region and Ivan Jakovcic, President of Istria Region. Both Regions praised the fact that the project also enhanced their cooperation at institutional level. For more information: gostisa@cei-es.org
