Slovene State Secretary of Transport Visits CEI Headquarters

On 28 January, State Secretary of Transport Igor Jakomin, had an exchange of views with Secretary General Ambassador Pfanzelter on ways and means to strengthen the cooperation between Slovenia and the Central European Initiative. Special attention was paid to common EU projects and initiatives in the field of transport.

In order to develop the huge economic potential of the Danube river, the European Commission has proposed an overarching Strategy for the Danube Region covering eight EU Member States and six other European countries. In this context, the Republic of Slovenia has been designated as Coordinator for the improvement of mobility and intermodality for Road Rail and Air traffic.   The CEI has a long record of successful cooperation with the Republic of Slovenia. In the framework of EU Projects, the CEI is currently the Lead partner of the ADRIA A Project, developed within the framework of the Cross Border Cooperation Programme Italy-Slovenia composed of 27 partner institutions from the two countries, including the Slovene Ministry of Transport.   For more information: fortuna@cei-es.org
