Hungarian Filmmaker Géza M. Tóth Awarded with CEI Prize at “Maremetraggio Festival 2010”

For his short film “MAMA”, Géza M. Tóth was awarded with the CEI Prize (3.000 EUR) at the International Short Film and Debut Works Festival “Maremetraggio 2010”.

The jury selected “MAMA” with the following motivation: “Some pictures hung by a thread… Aquatic. Hyper-realistic. Hypnotic”.
The eleventh edition of Maremetraggio in Trieste (25 June - 3 July), witnessed the screening of the best European short films and most significant Italian debut feature films. Several conferences, special events and in-depth sections with the participation of film industry professionals were also held.
A conference which focused on the Bulgarian cinematography deserves mentioning.
The CEI involvement in the festival both through a financial contribution and the prize is meant to support cinema productions and works realised by film directors from Central and Eastern Europe.
