On 10 May, Prof. Maria Cristina Pedicchio, President of the Cluster in Biomedicine (CBM), met with Amb. Gerhard Pfanzelter in order to sign a Protocol for Cooperation covering a three year period (2010 - 2012).
This agreement will bring about a further expansion of the CEI Science & Technology Network comprising seven scientific institutions based in Trieste and their partners and affilates in the CEI Member States. Cooperation will be promoted in the sectors of life science, personalized medicine, nutrition and health. Furthermore, on the basis of the successful experience of the CERES Programme, they will cooperate with the aim to attract EU funds for increasing the impact of their joint activities to the ultimate benefit of the CEI Member States.
