SIOT approves financial statement for 2025, revenues and investments increase

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUN 18 - The shareholders of Società italiana per l'oleodotto transalpino (SIOT) approved the financial statements for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025, resulting in a net profit of €2.9 million. Transported volumes totalled 41.6 million tonnes (+3.9% compared to 2024), revenues €116 million (+16.8%), gross operating margin €11.4 million, and operating income €5.5 million in the past year. In Italy, infrastructure investments increased to €70.5 million, up from €45.8 million in 2024. Alessandro Gorla, president and CEO of SIOT and general manager of the TAL group, stated that "2025 demonstrated the strategic importance of the Transalpine Pipeline for Central Europe's energy security." "We transported more crude oil, accelerated our investment programme, and completed several strategic projects, including TAL Plus, which expands transport capacity and allows the Czech Republic to meet all of its needs through our system," he underlined. Adding the contributions of the three countries, the Transalpine Pipeline generated significant non-consolidated results, with revenues of €208.3 million and a net profit of €7.9 million." SIOT is an Italian company within the TAL group, which also includes TAL Austria and TAL Germany. "Trieste is where the majority of the employment benefits, related industries, and value generated by the entire infrastructure are concentrated," Gorla recalled. In 2025, 422 oil tankers docked at the Marine Terminal, with the average tonnage increasing from 94,569 to 98,463 tonnes per ship. In the first five months of 2026, despite ongoing international conflicts and the Strait of Hormuz crisis, volumes unloaded at the Trieste Marine Terminal increased by more than 6% over the same period in 2025.
