AfD remains the leading political force in polls in Germany

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, AUG 19 - The political climate in Germany remains unchanged: the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) continues to lead with 26% of the vote, according to the Forsa Institute, which conducted the RTL/NTV Trendbarometer survey. The CDU-CSU Union is the second largest political force, with 25%, showing a slight improvement from recent surveys. The SPD remains at 13%, with the Greens and Left Party at 12%. Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz of the CDU continues to have a low approval rating: 67% of Germans are dissatisfied with his work, while 30% are satisfied (a slight increase from 29% in early August).
