Training Project Launched for Montenegrin Internal Auditors

On 4 October 2012, the Center of Excellence in Finance (CEF) and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) launched a training project in Montenegro to respond to the government’s priorities for public finance reform.

The project’s main goal is to develop a one-year training and certification programme for internal auditors in the public sector in Montenegro. The project is designed to train and certify up to 80 students in two separate runs. At the kick-off, training participants received material and technical information about the course. Training is expected to continue throughout 2013.   The Project is co-financed by the Italian Government’s contribution to the Know-how Exchange Programme (KEP) of the Central European Initiative (CEI) through the CEI Fund at the EBRD and the by the German Government Stability Pact and is organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance of Montenegro.   For information: biadene@cei.int
