Von der Leyen doesn't see positive signals for Tirana-Skopje

(ANSA) - BRUXELLES, 17 OTT - Ahead of the European Council, the elected president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, referred that "unfortunately, there are no positive signals for a decision" today on the start of EU accession negotiations for Albania and North Macedonia. "I am very sorry because I firmly believe that both countries have made enormous efforts to get closer to the European standards and they deserve a positive signal," von der Leyen stressed. (ANSA).
