(ANSA) - GORIZIA, AUG 3 - Gorizia will host the 21st edition of "Gusti di frontiera," a food and wine festival that will bring the historic center to life from September 24 to 27. The event will feature 17 themed villages and approximately 300 booths, offering specialties from 5 continents and over 50 countries. Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to attend that weekend. The 2026 edition—unveiled this morning at a press conference—features a new visual identity that portrays Gorizia as an open and dynamic city, a crossroads of cultures and flavors. The visual design is a composition of colorful tiles that evoke elements of street food and city symbols, designed to capture the rhythm and vibrancy of the event. The villages will offer a culinary journey through the finest Italian and European specialties (with a focus on Austria, France, the Balkans, and Northern Europe), along with offerings from the Americas, the East, Africa, and Australia, creating a diverse food and wine experience for visitors. Rounding out the offerings are Borgo Mare, Truck Food, the Mercatino di Gusti, and Borgo Associazioni. Mayor Rodolfo Ziberna described "Gusti di frontiera" as "one of the city's most anticipated and defining events." (ANSA).
