(ANSA) - BELGRADE, OCT 11 - Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani today indicated outgoing Prime Minister Albin Kurti to form a new government. Kurti was nominated by his party, Vetevendosje (Self-Determination, a nationalist left), which won 48 of 120 seats in the February election. The decision on the position was made after the new parliament formation process, which resulted from the legislative elections held on February 9. Following a lengthy stalemate, the fifth and final vice president of the Assembly, representing the Serb minority, was elected yesterday. This decision was hotly contested by Srpska Lista (SL), the largest local Serb party, which claims to be the most powerful political force among Kosovo Serbs. The elected vice president belongs to another Serbian party with only one member of parliament, as opposed to SL's nine. (ANSA).
