Science festival “Nauk nije bauk 9” in Niš, Serbia

The 5th edition of the popular science festival “Nauk nije bauk” was held in Niš, Serbia on 31- March – 1 April.
 
Organised by the “Svetozar Marković” high school, in association with Faculty of Electronics, NGO “Teach me” and the Society for the Popularisation of Science and Education “NaukLab” the event hosted more than 1,000 participants, around 80 exhibitions and more than 20.000 visitors from the region and beyond. The CEI contribution, through its Cooperation Fund, supported the involvement of participants from Austria, Bosnia and HerzegovinaHungary, Macedonia, Montenegro and Romania.
 
The festival, under this year’s motto “practical science”, aimed at promoting science, modern scientific achievements and the new technologies in the field of contemporary education.
 
Among the best exhibitions were: the “Travel to Mars” that presented the possibilities of travelling to other planets, “All the rhythms of the heart” which showed how the heart works, as well as numerous interactive workshops for the youngest visitors. Like many years before, the festival organised live stream video on the official website and the PR team had a lot of help from a news team from one of the guest schools from Austria.
