CEI Science & Technology Network Executive Board Meets at CEI HQs

On 16 February 2011, the CEI hosted the annual Executive Board meeting of the Science & Technology Network (S&TN) at its Headquarters in Trieste.

Launched in 2004, the S&TN proved a useful tool for promoting scientific cooperation for the benefit of the 18 CEI Member States. Representatives of ICTP, ICGEB, SISSA, Synchrotron ELETTRA, ICS-UNIDO and CBM met in order to evaluate the activities carried out in 2010 in collaboration with the CEI and set the ground for future cooperation.
 
As specified by Amb. Pfanzelter, CEI Secretary General, building upon the successful experience of CERES (a fellowship programme co-funded by the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development – FP7), the CEI will make efforts to strengthen Network by promoting new project proposals to be co-funded by the EU, in particular in the context of the FP7.
