In the framework of the Friuli Venezia Giulia International Piano Competition, taking place in Sacile, Italy, from 26 May to 1 June, the CEI - through its Cooperation Fund - is supporting the CEI Piano Forum 2020 (25 May) which will focus on “Music Diplomacy”.

The event is meant to highlight the role music plays in improving intercultural dialogue and civil consciousness and will present some case studies on the contribution of music to cultural dialogue, life-coaching, mobility and networking. The programme also envisages an open discussion involving young musicians and experienced personalities of the music world coming from the CEI region.

Among the various prizes, the International Piano Competition includes two CEI Prizes:

  • CEI Special Prize for the Best Competitor (2,000 EUR) coming from CEI countries (with the exception of Italy)
  • CEI Special Prize for Music Academies (2,000 EUR) addressed to high education institutions such as academies and conservatories in CEI countries (with the exception of Italy)
