Coronavirus: 94613 cases in New Europe area, 1166 deaths

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 02 APR - A total of 94613 confirmed cases of coronavirus (+6419 day-on-day), 67366 in Germany only, and 1166 deaths (+226) were registered in countries in Central- and Eastern Europe, Germany, Austria and Greece as April 1, according to official data of national authorities collected by the World Health Organization (WHO). Most of cases of COVID-19 in the area were registered in Germany (67366, +5453 in the last 24 hours, 732 deaths), followed by Austria (10182, +564, 128 deaths), Czech Republic (3308, +306), Poland (2311, +256), Romania (2245, +293), Greece (1314, +102), Serbia (900, +115), Croatia (867, +77), Slovenia (814, +51), Estonia (745, +30), Ukraine (669, +120), Lithuania (533, +49), Hungary (492, +45), Bosnia-Herzegovina (413, +54), Bulgaria (399, +40), Latvia (398, +22), Slovakia (363, +27), Moldova (353, +55), North Macedonia (329, +44), Albania (243, +20), Belarus (152) Kosovo (112, +6), Montenegro (105, +14). In Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania and in the Western Balkans (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Albania) 6427 confirmed cases and 146 deaths were registered until April 1. Austria has registered 1143 cases of COVID-19 per million, compared to 1749 in Italy, followed by Germany (810), Estonia (560), Slovenia (393) and Czechia (310). In the region, Austria has also registered the highest number of deaths per one million population (14,38), followed by Germany (8,80) and Slovenia (6,29). Italy has recorded 205,5 deaths per million inhabitants as of yesterday. (ANSA).
