Migrants: Bosnia, the first group leave Vucjak camp

(ANSA) - SARAJEVO, DECEMBER 10 - The first group of migrants left the Vucjak camp near Bihac in northwest Bosnia and Herzegovina on the border with Croatia this afternoon, heading for other safer and more dignified accommodation not far from Sarajevo. In Vucjak, without water, electric power, and the basic sanitation conditions, even due to cold weather and snow, the situation has become unbearable for about 600 refugees hosted there. The Bosnian authorities, under pressure also from the international community, have announced the closure of the hellish camp. According to the local media, the transfer of refugees would go on for at least three days. Many are opposed to leaving Vucjak, which is close to the border with Croatia, the EU country they would try to enter to continue their journey to Western Europe.(ANSA).
