EU welcomes new appointed PM of Bosnia-Herzegovina Tegeltija

(ANSA) - BRUXELLES, 20 NOV - EU welcomed the agreement on the appointment of a new prime minister, Zoran Tegeltija, reached by the tripartite presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina thirteen months after the political elections. The appointment of the serb Tegeltija "is a welcomed and important step toward the formation of a government. The EU now looks forward to the swift formation and full functioning of the Council of Ministers and of the Parliamentary Assembly", said EU spokesperson, Maja Kocijancic. "The formation of the new executive and legislative authorities is crucial for the country's advancement in the European Union integration process", added Kocijancic, stressing that the new political representatives "will have to face the key priorities identified in the Commission's opinion May 2019". Brussels expects in particular that Sarajevo will accelerate on "socio-economic and judicial reforms, fight against corruption and organized crime, as well as migration management".(ANSA).
