Serbia-Russia: PM Medvedev in Belgrade on October 20

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 14 - Russian Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev will pay a visit to Serbia on October 20 on the occasion of the celebrations for the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade from Nazi fascism in World War II. A statement issued by the Serbian presidency reported. Medvedev accepted the invitation addressed to him by President Aleksandar Vucic, during a telephone call, in which Vucic expressed his birthday wishes to Medvedev. The liberation of Belgrade occurred on October 20, 1944, after heavy fighting supported by the Yugoslav Army backed by the Soviet Red Army troops. (ANSA).
