Poland: Erste, industry output accelerates in April

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAY 22 - The industrial output in Poland grew by 9.2% year-on-year in April up from 5.6% year-on-year in March, Erste Group Research said in an instant comment today, noting that the April data represent the "fastest growth pace since mid-2018." According to Erste analysts, the strongest pace of growth in the industrial sector can be explained with the increasing sentiment in the manufacturing sector and a positive calendar effect. The average industrial production growth in Poland between January and April 2019 came at 7% year-on-year, compared to 6.7% in the same period in 2018. Erste forecasted that Poland economy will "sustain solid growth in current quarter and expand by around 4.5% y/y." (ANSA).
