Serbia: soon 230-mln-transport agreement with Russia

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 14 GEN - Serbia and Russia will sign an agreement worth 230 million euros for the Serbian transport and infrastructure sector, the Serbian minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic anticipated today, the news agency Beta reported. The contract concerns the works on the railroad section Stara Pazova-Novi Sad, the one for a unified dispatch center for traffic management and the rehabilitation of the railway from Valjevo to Uzice, Mihajlovic added, without providing further details. The agreement will be signed on the occasion of Russian President Vladimir Putin visit to Serbia, on Thursday and "it is very important, as well as the visit of Putin", as "it is vital to Serbia to have good relations with the US, Russia and China," Mihajlovic said at the private Prva television.
