(ANSA) - PONTEBBA, 13 NOV - A €16 million investment marks the start of the new ski season in Nassfeld Pramollo, a ski resort between Friuli Venezia Giulia and Carinthia, used for the construction of a new 10-seater cable car, the Gartnerkofelbahn, consisting of 55 panoramic cabins that can carry up to 2,620 passengers per hour. The facility will start operating next December. "The previous four-seater chairlift, dating back to 1985, had reached the end of its life: after four decades of summer and winter service, replacement was inevitable," says Klaus Herzog, CEO of Nassfeld Lift GesmbH & Co KG. - This investment will make Nassfeld even more attractive as a destination for guests and residents throughout the year. The Gartnerkofelbahn will work in synergy with another gondola lift, the Tröglbahn, built last year, sharing ticket offices, restrooms, and first aid facilities. On the same side, the "BergHex" bar has also been renovated, while a functional center with a restaurant is under construction at the Gartnerkofelbahn valley station. The modernization program will continue with a further €7 million invested in upgrading the resort. During the summer, the children's practice area on the Tressdorfer Alm was redesigned and equipped with covered conveyor belts, new snow generators were installed, and several piste extensions were built.
