In the framework of the International Journalism Festival (Perugia, Italy, 5-9 April 2017), the CEI and SEEMO are jointly organising the panel on “Press freedom in south-east Europe” on Wednesday, 5 April (15:45 - 17:15). In the run up to the Italian Summit on the Western Balkans scheduled to take place in Trieste on 12 July 2017, the International Conference will bring together a number of European experts to reflect on the challenges facing the EU and its enlargement towards the Western Balkans. The meeting will kick off a series of events such as a Second Reflection Forum and a Civil Society Forum, which will be hosted in Trieste in May and July 2017 respectively.

The high-level conference Balkan Networks and Stability – Connecting co-operative and human security is taking place in Rome on 6-7 April. It is organised by the NATO Defense College Foundation in co-operation with the NATO Defense College, the Balkan Trust for Democracy and the Central European Initiative.

During the three-day event in Budapest on 8-10 April, Romani filmmakers and experts, involved in the selection process of the RomArchive as well as members of a Working Group composed of experts from Canada, Finland and the Netherlands (WG3) are gathering to share knowledge and build professional connections. Interviews will also take place in order to make directors from CEI Member States visible in and outside the region.
