Workshop on sustainable energy systems for CEE countries, Budapest (Hungary)
Leading energy specialists, professors and researchers as well as international bodies will attend the workshop for alternative energy planners and modelling experts in Budapest on 3 November. The event aims to support Central- and Eastern European countries (CEE) in developing sustainable energy systems by giving examples from various EU countries such as Denmark, Germany and the Balkan States.
Participants from 13 countries, 10 of which are CEI Member States, will gather and exchange their experiences on energy modelling and foster regional cooperation as well as the use of innovative planning tools in order to tackle energy-related challenges.
The first session of the workshop will be dedicated to European best practices. The second session will focus on expert talks regarding alternative energy strategies in CEE countries. The final panel session will give regional experts the chance to reflect on opportunities for cooperation in energy modelling and a common macro-regional modelling initiative.
The workshop will be held in English.
The event is co-financed by the CEI Cooperation Fund.
