Summer School "European Union and Legal Reform 2017" (Igalo/Montenegro, 9-15 July)
This year's Summer School “European Union and Legal Reform” - a weeklong post-graduate course organised by the Center for Constitutional Studies and Democratic Development (CCSDD) and the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade - is taking place in Igalo, Montenegro, from 9-15 July.
It is open to final-year undergraduate students and graduate students in Law and Political Science, as well as young professionals and scholars who will have the chance to attend an innovative series of lectures and roundtable discussions in order to deepen their understanding of the EU’s expansion eastward and subsequent legal and constitutional implications.
Past editions of the Summer School have tackled topics such as minority rights protection, constitutional courts and constitutional justice, the implications of EU enlargement on democratic transitions and consolidation, reforms still needed by ‘consolidated democracies’, and lessons to be learned from the founding members of the European Economic Community (EEC).
This event is co-funded by the CEI Cooperation Fund.
