The Sound of Talent: a new music network for young musicians (Trieste, 16-18 October)

The three-day event taking place at Music Conservatory “Giuseppe Tartini” in Trieste on 16-18 October will focus on exchanges between representatives of institutions and music festivals, promoting active participation, and giving the possibility to lay the foundations of a system of cooperation among academic and professional institutes. The event is a follow-up of the conference held last year which launched the establishment of the Central European Music Academies Network (CEMAN) in order to implement joint initiatives and pursue common goals.
 
The gathering’s main goal – among others –is setting music as a cornerstone in young people's education and a key feature in the life of citizens of a modern, enriched Europe, when performer and audience are brought close together through concerts.
 
The concerts will be held in locations chosen to increase the appeal of an area “cultural tourism”, strategic instruments to develop sustainable tourism that promotes and enhances local cultural and natural heritage.
