The European Movement in the Republic of Macedonia (EMRM) in cooperation with the Institute for Geostrategic Research and Foreign Policy – IGRFP of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, is organising an International Conference in Skopje on 20 September 2016 on “European values and security faced with the Migration and Refugee crises – A Perspective from the Civil Society”.
The migration and refugee issues European and Western Balkans countries are facing has opened many questions related to the socioeconomic context, humanitarian perspective, human rights and solidarity, security and other dilemmas.
The event will witness the participation of representatives from national councils of European movements and civil society organisations in CEI Member States as well as from three countries touched upon by the migrant crisis such as Germany, Greece and Turkey. State officials and international organisations dealing with the refugee issue as well as representatives from academia are also forseen to take part in the conference.
This activity is supported and co-financed by the CEI Cooperation Fund (Extraordinary Call covering migration).
