The CEI is currently involved in 9 EU-funded projects as both Lead Partner and Partner:

• Central European Initiative Research Fellowship Programme (CERES), under the 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development;

• South-East European Transport Axis Cooperation (SEETAC), under the South-East Europe Programme;

• Accessibility and Development for the Re-launch of the Inner Adriatic Area (ADRIA A), under the Cross-border Cooperation Programme Italy – Slovenia 2007-2013

• Attractive Urban Public Transport for Accessible Cities  (ATTAC), under South East Europe Programme

• Improving Cooperation in South-East Europe by Actions for Strengthening the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), financed by the European Union through the Instrument of Pres-Accession Assistance – Regional Programme 2010  

• Sustainable and Energy Efficient Mobility Options in Tourist Regions in Europe (SEEMORE), co-financed under the Intelligent Energy-Europe Programme (IEE)

•  Rail Hub Cities for South East Europe (RAIL4SEE), under the South East Europe Programme

• European Digital Traffic Infrastructure Network for Intelligent Transport Systems (EDITS), under the Central Europe Programme

• Accessibility improved at border CROSsings for the integration of South East Europe (ACROSSEE), under the South East Europe Programme
