On this occasion, project partners will officially start implementing the project activities. They will hold discussing on the procedures and actions to be put into place right after the meeting. The main topics will focus on the COME-IN! Strategy for accessible museums and exhibitions, related testing of the COME-IN! approach and COME-IN! labeling scheme.
The Project Lead Partner is also organising a promotional event to be held in mid-September in order to inform the public about the project idea and objectives.
COME-IN! is funded under the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Programme, with an overall budget of about 2.7 Million EUR. It embraces 14 partners from Austria, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Poland and Slovenia and aims at enhancing CE cultural heritage, increasing the capacities of small and medium size museums, by making them accessible to a wider public with different kinds of disabilities.
Partners will elaborate COME-IN! guidelines for organising accessible collections and exhibitions and a Training Handbook for museum operators. Based on gained experience, an innovative promotional tool - the COME-IN! label for awarding museums complying with accessibility standards - will be developed and further promoted.
