“Acting Together in Migration Management – Enhancing Coordination among Local and Central Level” Organizer: MARRI (Migration, Asylum and Refugees Regional Centre), Skopje (Macedonia)
On 17 March 2016, a one-day high-level international conference is taking place in Skopje, Macedonia, to discuss the role of local authorities in migrant crisis management. The event foresees regional transfer of knowledge and experience sharing in communication and coordination between national and local authorities in order to improve international cooperation and share good practices of local assistance and integration between the affected countries.
Organised by the Migration, Asylum and Refugees Regional Initiative (MARRI) in collaboration with the Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South-East Europe (NALAS) and with the participation of several other national decision-makers and local institutions from different states participating to MARRI, this is one of the key activities co-financed by the Extraordinary Call on Migrations launched in fall 2015 through the CEI Cooperation Fund.
