Sadeta Bajrović from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Milica Vojinović from Serbia are the winners of this year’s CEI SEEMO Award for Outstanding Merits in Investigative Journalism, promoted by the Central European Initiative (CEI) and the South East Europe Media Organisation (SEEMO). Nermina Kuloglija from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Vlad Odobescu from Romania have received a special mention.
The 2021 edition of the Summer Seminar for Young Public Policy Professionals focused on “Exploring Post-Covid Recovery Scenarios for Central and South-Eastern Europe” was held in Varna, Bulgaria, on 6-10 September.

The CEI Award 2020 at the Trieste Film Festival goes to Marko Škop from Slovakia for his film Let there be light/Nech je svetlo. It was presented by Zoran Jovanovic, CEI Deputy Secretary General, on the occasion of the awarding ceremony in Trieste on 20 January.
The 10th CEI Regional Forum for Health, Wellness & Spa Industry held in Belgrade (Serbia) on 22 October aimed at safeguarding cultural heritage, cultural tourism and development of wellness tourism based on spa heritage and tradition. The mission of the event was to promote sustainable development of wellness and spa tourism by providing know-how transfer based on latest trends and best practice examples.

Ivan Shopov, born in 1987 in Skopje, North Macedonia, graduated from the “Blazhe Koneski” Faculty of Philology in Skopje, general and comparative literature section.
The three-day event on 29-31 August, supported through the CEI Cooperation Fund in Petrovaradin (Serbia), gathered international experts/professors/researchers in Central Europe who shared their know-how on the topic of preservation and sustainable management of architectural heritage.
