(ANSA) - UDINE, DEC 6 - The first "German Peace Prize for Photography" will be open for entries from January 1, 2019. The new international award for professional photographers has been created by the 'City of Peace Osnabrück' and Felix Schoeller Group. The Osnabrück-based company has been producing specialty papers for photographic applications since 1895. The Peace Prize is endowed with € 10,000, as a new special category within the internationally renowned Felix Schoeller Photo Award competition. Until May 31, 2019, professional photographers from all over the world can submit their personal artistic statement on peace. The award ceremony will take place on October 20, 2019, in the 'City of Peace' Osnabrück. The ceremony will be held in the historic town hall, which is well-known because the Treaty of Westphalia was negotiated and signed by the combatants of the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648) in the building which was completed in 1648.
