Ski resort: 7m investment in Nassfeld Pramollo

(ANSA) - UDINE, 4 DEC - The recent investment made by the Nassfeld Pramollo ski resort in Hermagor, Austria, amounts to 7m euros, with the aim of expanding, improving and speeding up snowmaking systems, guaranteeing wider slopes. ''45 million euros have been invested in the last two years'', Nassfeld Pramollo representatives announced today at the press conference featuring the ski season 2018/2019, which is scheduled to begin on December 7. The area, 13km from Pontebba (Udine), is one of the main ski resorts in neighbouring Austria. The area boasts 30 skilifts, 110km of snow-covered slopes with 390 snow cannons and 25 lodges. Cross-country skiing and excursions can also be enjoyed in the area. The investment also involved the construction of new hospitality facilities and the improvement of existing ones. The new ski season includes many events, such the world's longest race to be held in January. ''During the winter ski season there are about 700,000 overnight stays in our 12,000 beds. Italy - announced Sonja Kucher, representative of Nlw Tourismus Marketing - with 23,000 overnight stays, accounts for 3% of the total number of visitors''. In spring, the organizers added, for Nassfeld, ''the project to build an additional 500 beds will begin immediately after the border with Italy. About 100 more beds will be available in apartments for sale, with an investment of 45m euros. The new accomodation facility will be built by a local real estate and will be completed by the autumn''. (ANSA).
