Kosovo: Belgrade, regular army in Pristina is unacceptable

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, OCTOBER 19 - Serbia's Defence minister Aleksandar Vulin said once again that the creation of a regular Kosovar army is totally unacceptable, underlining that such a decision would endanger the security and stability of the whole region. Speaking on TV RTS, Vulin asked the international community to react to the decision made by the parliament in Pristina, which yesterday approved the government's bills for the transformation of the Kosovo Security Force into an army, establishing at the same time a defence ministry. "The international community, with the UN Security Council Resolution 1244, took responsibility for the situation in the territory of Kosovo, for the maintenance of peace and security of all citizens living in that area. Let's see now if the international community will be able to implement its mandate and its decisions", said the Serbia's defence minister . (ANSA)
