Railways: Belgrade-Bar reconstruction done by 2021

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 24 LUG - The reconstruction and modernization of the railway line connecting the Serbian capital Belgrade to the Montenegrin coastal and harbor town of Bar, one of the most important in the Balkans, will be completed by 2021, the news agency Beta reported, quoting a memorandum of understanding signed by the Serbian and Montenegrin Transport ministers. The Montenegrin minister of Transport, Osman Nurkovic, said that so far the country has reconstructed 40% of the line on the territory of Montenegro and "our aim is that in three years from now we have much better railway transport between Serbia and Montenegro." His Serbian counterpart, Zorana Mihajlovic, noted that the railway link, together with roads and motorways, are of "utmost importance to improve people's lives." (ANSA).
